You can now buy Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450X electric scooters in the portfolio of Indian electric two-wheeler startup Ather Energy at a lower price than before.
After the revision in the price of these electric scooters, they have become cheaper by up to Rs 24,000. This change in price can prove to be a value for money electric scooter.
Let us tell you that the 450 models are famous for delivering powerful power and great range along with modern design.
In a single charge, these electric scooters are capable of delivering a certified range of up to 115 kms and have a top speed of up to 80 kms per hour.
Ather Energy announced that the prices of 450 electric models of the company have come down by about 20 percent in the state of Maharashtra.
The reason for this is the subsidy given by the state government. The EV-maker said the company's electric scooters can now be bought for Rs 24,000 cheaper by adding the state's EV subsidy.
Checking the official website revealed that the exact subsidy is Rs 24,500.
Tarun Mehta, Co-Founder and CEO, Ather Energy shared via tweet (Translated) “EV subsidy is finally going live in Maharashtra.
The price of 450+ will be reduced by 24K [Rs 24,000] and is now priced at Rs 1.03 lakh in the state."
After this subsidy, the price of Ather 450 Plus has gone up to Rs 1,03,416 in Maharashtra and Rs 1,22,426 for the 450X. These prices are inclusive of Ather Dot/Portable charger and performance upgrade.
The new price makes these scooters the cheapest in Maharashtra as compared to other states of the country.
However, both the electric scooters are still higher than the Ola Scooter S1, which costs Rs 94,999 (ex-showroom and includes state and FAME-II subsidies).
Adding the FAME II subsidy and the Delhi government's EV subsidy, the Ather 450 Plus electric scooter costs Rs 1,13,416 and the Ather 450X Rs 1,32,426 in the state.
The Ather 450X is the company's high-end electric scooter model. It gets 3 riding modes, which include Eco, Ride and Sport.
There is a difference in range between these three. The user can get a range of 85KM in Eco Mode, 70KM in Ride Mode and 60KM in Sports Mode. It has a battery of 2.9kWh capacity.
Its 6kW power motor generates 26Nm of torque. The company claims that this scooter can run 15KM on a charge of 10 minutes.
The Ather 450X also gets a large touchscreen display, through which many features can be accessed from the scooter itself.
This system can also be connected to mobile. The scooter comes equipped with features like reverse mode, GPS and navigation, central locking system and parking assist.
In the 450X, you also get features like Bluetooth connectivity, call alerts and music control.
